Ramp Up the Evarts!
Over the last couple of years, your D. R. Evarts Library Board of Trustees has been working to make our library accessible. As was typical in 1907, our library was not built for people with mobility challenges, wheelchair users, and parents with strollers. That’s why we need your help to “Ramp Up The Evarts”! We need to raise $150,000 to renovate the historic building to make it easier for all of our neighbors to visit when we do reopen our doors.
Friends of the D.R. Evarts Library
The Friends of the D.R. Evarts Library formed in 1995 to give financial support to the library through membership dues and organization donations. Our mission is to promote the library as a vital informational, cultural, educational, and recreational asset to our community. To assist the library with volunteer services and to raise funds for special projects and programs not covered by the library budget.
Funds have been raised in support of the children’s summer reading programs, the purchase of a book return box and book cart, improvements to the building, continuing additions to the adult and children fiction and nonfiction collections, and hospitality for library events. The Friends of the D.R. Evarts Library is aways happy to welcome new members. Click the link below to learn how you can get involved!
