Virtual Book Club

MakerSpace DIY

Each week, we’ll be offering a challenge for our DIY MakerSpace program and providing supplies to help inspire youth to create at home.  We’re planning a variety of projects and will provide appropriate supplies to complete the project.  Of course, items can be added from home.  One example is cardboard.  If you are looking for a particular item that we might have, please let us know and we’ll do our best to help your budding Da Vinci.

I’d love to see your child’s creations!  Please email me pictures.  Use the email for questions or comments too.

Tales at Riverfront Park

With approval from the Village Mayor and Trustees, we have installed a StoryWalk along the boardwalk at Riverfront Park.  When you visit Riverfront Park, immerse yourself in a delightful children’s storybook.  As you stroll along the boardwalk, you’re directed to the next page in the story.  We’ll be changing the storybook every week or two, so visit often to see what new tale awaits!

The StoryWalk(R) Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.

Village Scavenger Hunt

As you stroll between the Library and Riverfront Park along Second Street, look for signs announcing our Village Scavenger Hunt.  We’ve partnered with several businesses to provide this fun family activity.  You’ll find an I SPY-themed display, a sing-a-long, and several other themes.  The activities are visible in their picture windows for you to play along from outside on the sidewalk.

2020 Summer Reading Program and Kickoff
